“Watchmen” Trailer

Have you ever watched a trailer so many times that you know exactly where each cut is? No? Well… ok, I’ve been there a few times and my newest trailer-obsession is that of Zack Snyder’s graphic novel adaption, Watchmen.

Here’s the story, it’s set in an alternate 1980’s america where superheros are a common part of society. When one of the heros is murdered an investigation begins led by Rorschach, a masked vigilante, which discovers a sinister plot to kill all the superheros in existence.

The trailer very well cut, and shows an impressive amount of footage for a movie that one be released for almost a year. Zack Snyder, the director of the masculine 300, and the good-for-a-remake Dawn of the Dead, helms this film.

I’ve been following this film through it’s production blogs and through those my interest in the graphic novels have definitely risen. Since the trailer was released I have been going through and looking at pictures from the comics and comparing them to the trailer, I have to say that I’m thoroughly impressed. Snyder is doing a great job capturing the film, through it’s feel and the unique color scheme presented in the comics. And, yes, I got all of this from a trailer.
