This may be my very favorite website on the interweb. All it is a compilation of old, cult, exploitative, and ridiculous films from across the years. What makes it so special? Well, every single one of those trailers has a famous director who claims the film as one of their favorites doing commentary over the trailer.
If that doesn’t sound appealing then you shouldn’t be reading this blog! (which you probably aren’t) So maybe not that harsh, but seriously check this site out.
Going down the long list of directors who have contributed, I’ve picked a few out that give consistently fantastic commentary’s and who contribute on a regular basis.
Joe Dante, Mick Garris, John Landis, Edgar Wright, Eli Roth, and Michael Lehman! Plus! So many more!
I discovered this hidden gem through Mr. Wright’s blog on myspace, who I might add may very well be one of my favorite directors in movies at the moment. He isn’t the number one, but definitely in the top 10. Speaking of which, I will have a review/love fest devoted to the phenomena that is SPACED!
Back to site; Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the site posts a new video with a director laying down a cool track over a cool trailer. It really brings to light some lesser known flicks and having John Landis spew over how great the movie is inspires one to check them out.
Here’s a taste: A trailer for… TRAILERS FROM HELL
